I have iPad air 1st gen. It works excellent except all apps that were supporting stopped supporting forcing users to buy new devices. Apple introduced new security updates for FaceTime in 2027. Q1. Instead of recycling or introducing new devices if old devices are supported for a longer duration of 10-15 years, instead of giving warranty to new electronic devices, wouldn’t the world be a better place, well managed for the future, apart from being worth the money? Q2. I recognize apple is an electronics manufacturer and they have sales targets but is the internet and information is getting destroyed, making the world bad for the future?. I might have desired just like Samsung why apple couldn’t introduce new products in the past, but now there are so many products, different models. Q2. If all the second sales are certified refurbished and given to people who like education, entertainment wouldn’t they get more customer base, for which devices have to be supported ? Q3. An ipad for reading, ipod for listening music, apple tv for entertainment, speakers for listening, iPhone for making calls. And there was an option to restore purchases, just like magic mouse. It was more customer oriented. Now everything looks distant past. Bioinformatics softwares no longer are working (32-bit and internet link issues). Internet looks dead (yahoo messenger and other internet services). I might be wrong. Am I the only one seeing these things? Q4. There was Apple customer support team who answered phone calls and e-mail address where I could email. Now nothing is there. I need not teach anyone anything. Just sharing my thoughts. But is there any loyal user base as in the past ? Internet communities for apple is dead, only links are shared. If I share anything that fosters discussion, the post is removed. What is the purpose of new electronic devices? Who killed the internet and how they killed it? Wreck-it Ralph , please don’t do ! Whether it is done periodically, after taking data dump I am not sure.
